Our standard steel bridge designs are normally supplied with galvanised profiled decking and trims, to act as in-situ shuttering to accept reinforced concrete roadways. We design and construct your new bridge to British Standard 5400 Highway Bridge Loading Specification
Our standard steel bridge designs are normally supplied with galvanised profiled decking and trims, to act as in-situ shuttering to accept reinforced concrete roadways. Reinforcing bars can be obtained locally or we can supply them if requested.
Our company construct your new steel bridge from hot-dip galvanised, hot rolled structural steel. The steel bridges are fabricated in relatively short pieces so that all parts can fit into containers, permitting delivery to sites without losses and reducing the number of cranes required for erection.
All assembly is done with galvanised bolts and nuts so there is no site welding. Construction of the steel bridge can be in-situ, or we can provide rollers and launching noses. Any steel bridge constructed by REIDsteel company can be dismantled, allowing the steel bridge to be erected elsewhere later on or simply used temporarily. Our temporary bridges can be used as a short term solution, or by building contractors.
REIDsteel - Keeping Roads Safe
The design and construction of steel highway and road bridges by REIDsteel company have two-lane roadways so that even large lorries can be driven on either side of the steel bridge with plenty of space to spare. There are three lines of heavy duty steel protector bars on each side of the carriageway to prevent collisions with the main steelwork.
The pedestrian footpaths are well segregated from the roadways, outside the main steelwork. These features increase the safety and welfare of road users as well as the pedestrian users of the steel bridge.
